Osmond Brothers - Florida Fireside

When The Osmond Brothers were in Ft. Myers, Florida for their December 30, 2001
performance at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall,
they made a very important stop along the way...

Wayne, Merrill and Jay, along with brother Virl and Jay's son, Jason, visited the Ft. Myers Stake for a Fireside.

Upon their arrival, Wayne and Jay answered a couple of questions from a local television station covering the Fireside, as to what brought The Osmond Brothers to Ft. Myers, and what prompted their visit to the Ft. Myers Stake.

Inside, The Osmonds were warmly greeted by a wonderful turnout.

The brothers listened as Troy Dunn of the
Ft. Myers Stake, introduced them with
his signature charm and wit.

Merrill spoke first, and very warmly mentioned
Mother and Father Osmond during his beautiful talk.

Oldest brother Virl spoke next, and gave a wonderful talk.

Virls' brothers were extremely
happy to have him with them
for this Fireside.

Following Virl's talk, the brothers stood together
and sang "I May Never Pass This Way Again," acappella - a
beautiful and moving rendition.
Brother Virl signed as his brothers sang.

Jay was the next brother to speak. He gave a very
interesting talk, and included some clever descriptions about
components of the LDS religion.
(As seen in the photo above, the brothers
enjoyed Jay's wit as much as the other listeners!)

Following his talk, Jay proudly introduced his
13 year old son, Jason.
This was Jason's first Fireside talk,
and he did a beautiful job!

Jay and Merrill enjoyed brother Wayne's humor as he spoke.
Wayne also gave a very moving testimony
as he spoke of his recovery from brain cancer.

The talks were followed by a short
question and answer period.

Each Osmond thanked the Ft. Myers Stake,
and gave their testimony to close the Fireside.

Even at a Fireside, his brothers never know what Wayne will say next!
The brothers were very warmly received and
appreciated by those in attendance.
